New York, NY (PRWE January 2011

New York Wine Festivals and Bacchus Wine Made Simple in conjunction with Marquee Concerts
are pleased to announce their 2nd Annual New York City Winter Wine
Festival will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at New York City’s
Best Buy Theater in Times Square. The festival includes over 200 wines
from around the globe to sample plus an array of light hors d’oeuvres.
As wine lovers sip, music will make the setting hip with a special
performance by Shilts, the former leader of contemporary funk/jazz band
Down to the Bone.

Last year’s sold out event with 1,200 in attendance was named the
“must-attend event” of the first weekend in February by NBC TV’s local
affiliate. To meet popular demand, the 2011 event expands to two
sessions; one in the afternoon, from 3-6pm and one in the evening, from 8-11pm.

“This one-of-a-kind tasting event has something for everyone…
vintage, bold, crisp, and refreshing wines, each hand-selected and
palate-approved by the experts at Manhattan’s foremost local wine
retailer, Bacchus Wine Made Simple,”
explains Sam Kimball of Marquee Concerts, producers of the festival.
“And what better way to complement wine than with song, as Shilts
performs his brand of jazz with funky flair for a 1 hour set to close
out each 3 hour tasting,” he adds.

Every attendee will receive a complimentary Riedel crystal stem glass
(a $10 value) to partake in the tastings and take home. Tasting tables
located throughout the venue will offer a wide variety of high-quality,
unique wines from around the globe including everything from classic
regions like Bordeaux and Rioja, to newer styles from South Africa and
Chile. Selections come from smaller boutique vineyards producing
superior wines at affordable prices. A VIP Wine Classes section with a
limit of 30 participants per session will be accessible with a ticket
upgrade (additional fee applies) for exclusive side-by-side tastings of a
selection of special wines.

While attendees treat their taste buds, music will delight their ears
with the funky, danceable, party-flavored sounds of Shilts who will
take the stage during the final hour of each 3 hour session. Playing a
twist on contemporary jazz with catchy funk and soul grooves, Shilts and
his world-class 5 piece band featuring sax, guitar, organ, bass, and
drums will add a truly festive splash to the tasting event.

Standard admission is $75.00 per person now through January 30, 2011.
Final week admission from Jan. 31 through Feb. 5 is $84 per person.
There is an additional charge of $20 per ticket for those who wish to
attend VIP Wine Classes. Advance purchase is strongly recommended due to
last year’s sellout crowd.
