BOOM Collective and Search and Restore are pleased to announce the lineup for 2012 NYC WINTER JAZZFEST.  The festival is to be held on January 6th & 7th, 2012 in New York City.  On both nights the festival will take over five West Village venues, (le) Poisson Rouge, Sullivan Hall, Kenny’s Castaways, Zinc Bar, and Bitter End.  This marks the eighth year of the annual NYC WINTER JAZZFEST, and the continued mission to showcase top quality jazz to industry professionals, avid jazz fans, and new audiences. One of Panama’s most significant cultural events, the Ninth Annual Panama Jazz Festival will be held on January 16-21, 2012. Already a reference in the global jazz calendar and attracting more than an estimated 100,000 people since its inception, this year’s festival is dedicated to tenor saxophonist Carlos Garnett, one of the most prolific Panamanian-Americans in jazz, known for working with artists such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Art Blakey, among others.
