VH1 and Palladia to Simulcast and Livestream on July 4th from 8-11PM ET/PT


NEW YORK, June 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Comedian Kevin Hart has been named the host of the third annual Philly 4th of July Jam, as part of the Wawa Welcome America! Festival. The event will be simulcast on VH1 and Palladia on Thursday, July 4 from 8-11PM ET. In addition, the event will be live streamed on VH1.com with frequent editorial coverage across MTV, VH1 and CMT news and blogs. Hometown favorites, The Roots, will once again serve as musical curators for the event, they will play their own set and also perform along with special guests John Mayer, Jill Scott, Demi Lovato, Ne-Yo, Grace Potter and J. In the world of modern music, few figures loom as large or cast as long a shadow as saxophonist Charlie Parker, best known as “Bird” (short for “Yardbird”) to generations of musicians. Jazz Rescue: All-star concert set for August 2nd to benefit the Yarnell 19


 
Phoenix, Arizona (29 July 2013) – Jazz relief is on the way for victims of the recent Yarnell fire. The M.U.S.I.C. Foundation of Arizona and Arizona Jazz Festival producer Brad Laughlin have teamed with Phoenix City Council Member of District 8 Michael Johnson and Alan “AP” Powell to assemble a galaxy of contemporary jazz stars to perform a benefit concert for the families affected by the tragic fire, including the 19 families of the fallen firefighters and those who lost homes. The show featuring a bevy of hitmakers will be held this Friday, August 2nd at 7 PM at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are on sale now at www.arizonajazzfestival.com or by calling 602-244-8444.
