The Art Of Cool Festival Welcomes Legendary Jazz Flutist Hubert Laws To The Line-up



The Art of Cool Festival announces a stellar addition to an already impressive line-up, the award winning, internationally renown, jazz flutist Hubert Laws.


Legendary musician, Hubert Laws, a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master, will take the stage at PSI Theater in Durham on April 25th at 6:15 pm in partnership with North Carolina Central University’s 24th Annual Jazz Festival. Laws is an accomplished musician across the genres of jazz, classical, pop and rhythm and blues. With over 40 years experience, three Grammy nominations, 20 albums and sold out performances to his credit Laws will add a depth of perspective and experience to the Art of Cool Festival.

In an era when free anything has become a “vanishing breed, ” the 34th Annual Cotati Jazz Festival presents a full day of free entertainment in a handful of venues around the Cotati Hub on Fathers Day, June 15 from 12 – 5 pm. The event is produced by the Cotati Chamber of Commerce, and features a variety of local jazz acts as well as food, wine and beer vendors.
