Walker Entertainment Group presents “Keeping the Music Alive,” a musical tribute with an extensive “Keeping Ourselves Alive” Health and Wellness Fair that features free health education and screenings.

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009, several acclaimed artists will share the stage of the Miller Outdoor Theatre in a free concert featuring chart-topping favorites of music legends such as Luther Vandross, Gerald Levert, Barry White, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson and comedian Bernie Mac. Some of these artists’ lives were taken too early due to health issues such as heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes, etc. Our goal is to assist  in educating the public on the prevention of health issues and while paying tribute to these legends through a free concert to the public.

With the assistance of wellness partners, the American Heart Association,Center for Health and Wellness, Houston Department of Health and Human Services, UT Medical School of Stroke, Legacy Community Health Services, Live Consortium, Carefree Health Source, Temple Keeper Fitness, The Health Museum and many more, we strive to provide education for individuals by providing health screenings and consultations. This is an excellent opportunity to get a personal checkup in a comfortable environment before enjoying a landmark concert for free! The health fair is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the tribute concert starts at 7 p.m.
