As one of the most influential voices in soul music, former lead vocalist of the funkadelic brotherly trio THE GAP Band, has received two 2010 Grammy nominations for Best R&B Album for “Uncle Charlie” and Best Male R&B Vocalist for his single, “There Goes My Baby.”  This is the first time that Wilson, has been nominated for a Grammy Award. Joining Charlie Wilson as he headlines this very special evening is Leela James and Vivian Green with more surprise guests.

 

100% of net proceeds from the celebration will be donated to Rekindle Hope in Africa program a 501(C)3 organization. Rekindle Hope in Africa is an organization that is helping indigent third world populations become self-reliant and independent through health, education and entrepreneurship.
