The 6th Annual Durban International Blues Festival | Sept. 28th – Oct. 3rd, 2010
Australia, Greece and USA represented at 2010 Durban International Blues Festival
It’s
six years on and the Durban International Blues Festival at Wilson’s
Wharf is promising to be even more exciting. The 2010 festival will once
again bring to Durban the best in local and SA Blues talent and this
year boasts three International acts.
Free performances
begin on the evening of Tuesday 28 September through to the weekend with
paid concerts on the Saturday and Sunday evenings (2 & 3 October).
Performances which begin at 7:30pm and continue until 10:30pm will
feature a variety of Blues bands and Maskandi.
Sat 2
October sees the first ticketed International concert featuring The Down
and Out Blues Band – a trio from Athens, as well as the Festival’s
first female Blues artist – Liz Mandeville of Chicago.
On Sun 3rd
October, the legendary ‘Blues Summit’ will take place featuring Dan
Patlansky and the second of female Blues star – Fiona Boyes from
Melbourne, Australia.
For both ticketed performances,
there will be a limited capacity of only 300 reserved places at tables
in the restaurant. Patrons will be able to book table on a first come
first served basis off a seating plan. On line bookings will be at

Tickets for the two gala evenings are R85 for adults and R65 for pensioners and children under 12.
