Playboy Jazz Festivals’ FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT in Beverly Hills | May 1st, 2011

PLAYBOY JAZZ FESTIVAL PRESENTS JUSTO ALMARIO’S AFRO-COLOMBIAN ENSEMBLE AND AWARD-WINNING ISRAELI JAZZ PIANIST TAMIR HENDELMAN’S TRIO, IN FREE COMMUNITY CONCERT, SUNDAY MAY 1ST AT THE BEVERLY HILLS CIVIC CENTER


 

The Playboy Jazz Festival will launch its annual free community concert series with Justo Almario’s Afro-Colombian Ensemble and award-winning Israeli jazz pianist Tamir Hendelman and his Trio. The event, to be held at the Beverly Hills Civic Center Plaza, will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1st.

Justo Almario and his Afro-Colombian Ensemble will open the show with their unique fusion of Jazz, South-American, and enticing world rhythms. Also performing is Israeli pianist and arranger, Tamir Hendelman who will play a diverse selection of Brazilian rhythms, blues, and music derived from his Israeli roots.

The concert is the first in the Festival’s acclaimed series of free community events to be held in conjunction with the upcoming 33rd Annual Playboy Jazz Festival, set for Saturday and Sunday, June 11th and 12th at the renowned Hollywood Bowl.

 Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Glass containers, alcoholic beverages and audio/video recorders are not permitted. Two free hours of parking are available at the Civic Center parking structure, adjacent to the Beverly Hills Public Library.
