The 3rd Annual Ultimate Jazz Festival | August 6th & 7th, 2011
RIVERSIDE, CALIF. — May 10, 2011 — The Ultimate Jazz Festival, produced by Jazz to be Green, a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise awareness about energy efficiency, green environment, and green jobs through the art of jazz, was launched over two years ago and has brought some of the biggest name artists in R&B, Jazz and Soul to the Inland Empire. Well its back — hotter than ever — with lots of changes planned for the 3rd Annual Ultimate Jazz Festival taking place August 6th and 7th.
Due to the continued growth of the festival with over 7,000 in attendance last year, the festival is relocating to Guasti Regional Park in Ontario, Calif., which is a spacious and beautiful venue with over 150 acres including two lakes, shaded trees, and ample parking.
“We are excited about this year’s festival and felt the move was necessary in order to accommodate the continued expected growth,” said Festival Director Darryl Bundridge.
The Ultimate Jazz Festival is known for its flare of uniqueness in bringing together musicians from different genres of music to one stage including Latin, R&B, Soul, Funk and of course Jazz, making it one of the most anticipated summer festivals in the I.E. This year’s festival will feature some hot new artists, as well as a little old school flavor added to the mix.
Lineup on Saturday August 6 will feature: Saxophonist Shilts, Urban Jazz Coalition, Guitarist Nick Colionne, R&B group Pieces of a Dream with Ramona Dunlap, and old school funkateers Cameo. Sunday August 7 is Flutist Althea Rene, Saxophonist Jessy J, Guitarist Jeff Golub, Saxophonist Euge Groove, and the soulful sounds of Keith Sweat.
Jazz to be Green is a proud partner with the Lupus Foundation and will be contributing a portion of the proceeds from the festival towards this worthy cause.
