DIVAS SIMPLY SINGING!

is a magical evening of song and edutainment that benefits The DIVA Foundation. This benefit concert features a host of the entertainment industries most talented women united in song to continue the courageous battle to stop spread of HIV/AIDS.

Sheryl Lee Ralph’s landmark career started with her portrayal of Deena Jones in the Broadway Musical Dreamgirls in the 80’s. This proved to be the best and worst of times for Sheryl. An epidemic was on the rise during that time that would soon change the world forever. In 1990, Sheryl Lee Ralph established The DIVA Foundation 501(c)3 and created DIVAS Simply Singing! as a loving tribute to the many friends she lost to HIV/AIDS. She used her voice to speak out for those who died in silence and stigma.

For 24 consecutive years, Sheryl Lee Ralph and friends have come together to raise their voices in song and commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. Each DIVA performs one song with the sole accompaniment of a concert grand piano. It’s like no other show you’ve seen…The lights, The Mic, The Message and the DIVAS Simply Singing!

Monetary contributions from DIVAS Simply Singing! goes on to assist men, women, and children infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
