About NYC Winter Jazzfest
NYC Winter Jazzfest is a destination for avid jazz fans, industry professionals, and new listeners to come together and experience the exciting and vibrant contemporary jazz scene. Since the inaugural year in 2005, the festival has grown organically, with more artists performing and a continually increasing audience—proving the true vitality and urgency of this music. NYC Winter Jazzfest programs inclusive of a broad spectrum of musical styles under the banner of jazz while working intimately with like-minded curators like Revive Music, Search & Restore and others to prove jazz’s continued relevance and influence over contemporary music. Inherent to the tradition of jazz as protest music, Winter Jazzfest has made a priority to support and highlight artists who create music with relevant messages of social justice and positive change to help amplify and inspire through the music. Founded by Brice Rosenbloom (BOOM Collective) in 2005 to celebrate jazz’s richness and vitality NYC Winter Jazzfest’s influence ripples out further every year. In 2020 Rosenbloom is proud to partner with independent entrepreneur Peter Shapiro and Dayglo Ventures. Dayglo Ventures creates unique and meaningful entertainment experiences, owns and operates live music venues including Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre, the music festival Lockn’, Relix, Jambands.com, Fare Thee Well and Jazz & Colors (which is curated by Brice Rosenbloom).
