New Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival announced
1 -3 March 2013



The very first Bristol International Jazz & Blues Festival will take place 1 – 3 March 2013 at Colston Hall.


Featuring some of the world’s most renowned jazz musicians in its first year, this brand new festival is set to be one of the UK’s leading jazz events.

Headlining the festival are US guitarist John Scofield’s Organic Trio, Cuban trumpeter Arturo Sandoval and Cream drummer Ginger Baker. Alongside these are a host of artists covering straight-ahead, contemporary, funk, Latin and trad jazz as well as blues, offering a wide range of first class music for jazz lovers across the board.

The 2012 edition of the critically acclaimed Experience Hendrix concert tour, will launch with a three week run of dates starting March 6th featuring an all-star lineup of musical greats paying homage to the abiding genius of Jimi Hendrix. Presented by Fender Musical Instruments, this year’s tour will include performances by Buddy Guy, Dweezil Zappa, Billy Cox, Robby Kreiger [The Doors], Robert Randolph, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David Hidalgo & Cesar Rosas [Los Lobos], Keb’ Mo, Eric Johnson,  Brad Whitford [Aerosmith], Living Colour, Chris Layton [Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble],The Slide Brothers as well as other special guests to be announced.
