On September
28, music lovers of all ages will gather for the 13th Annual Berklee
BeanTown Jazz Festival
in Boston’s historic South End – home to several
legendary clubs during Boston’s jazz heyday. The all-day, free outdoor
event will offer contemporary jazz, Latin, blues, and soul acts on three
stages. Natixis Global Asset Management (NGAM), one of the world’s
leading asset managers, is the presenting sponsor of the festival and
will present a $5, 000 scholarship to a student musician. Past Berklee
BeanTown Jazz Festivals have drawn as many as 

80,000 music fans.

Benefit Concert “YARNELL 19” in Arizona | Aug. 2nd, 2013

Jazz Rescue: All-star concert set for August 2nd to benefit the Yarnell 19


 
Phoenix, Arizona (29 July 2013) – Jazz relief is on the way for victims of the recent Yarnell fire. The M.U.S.I.C. Foundation of Arizona and Arizona Jazz Festival producer Brad Laughlin have teamed with Phoenix City Council Member of District 8 Michael Johnson and Alan “AP” Powell to assemble a galaxy of contemporary jazz stars to perform a benefit concert for the families affected by the tragic fire, including the 19 families of the fallen firefighters and those who lost homes. The show featuring a bevy of hitmakers will be held this Friday, August 2nd at 7 PM at the Orpheum Theatre. Tickets are on sale now at www.arizonajazzfestival.com or by calling 602-244-8444. The minimum donation per ticket is $50.00 although digging deeper is encouraged.

LOS ANGELES, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Make Music Los Angeles (MMLA, www.MakeMusicLA.org), an annual day-long music festival featuring free outdoor music concerts in public places throughout the county, today announces that it will host its Second Annual celebration on Friday, June 21st, 2013. A kickoff concert will take place on Thursday, June 20th, on the south lawn of Los Angeles City Hall, 11:00AM-2:00PM, with performances by jazz vocal trio Chambers, Herbert and Ellis, conductor, composer, saxophonist Geoff “Double G” Gallegos Quintet, and Randal Fisher with Free Association.
