A Tribute to the Great Tito Puente – The younger Puente is determined to nurture the musical legacy of his father. He keeps the magic alive and has become a favorite entertainer worldwide, playing to sell out audiences at venues including Harrahs’ and The Latin Quarter. His rhythms ignite and Afro-Cuban beats fire up his audiences. Featuring the TP ALL-STARZ – Tito Puente, Jr., DeLaRaza, Thomas Gooding, Chango “Everette,” Serina La Lupe, Mz. Leyva, Gerald El Sax and Danny “key’s.”

TITO GOMEZ
Tito Gomez started his own big salsa band and recorded his first solo album, which became an international sensation, in 1986. He’s played with such icons as Fajardo, Tito Puente, Willie Bobo and Grammy award winner Jose Feliciano. Gomez tours with his Latin Jazz Ensemble and works as a studio musician as well… His music ranges from Latin Jazz and Salsa to Latin Rock. Featuring: Tito Gomez (trap and timbale drums/percussion), Eddie Martinez (piano), Cucho Martinez (bass), Joe Ayala (congas), Manny Rivera (bongos) and Ronnie Baro (vocals/percussion).

LITTLE JOHNNY RIVERO & HEATWAVE
Conguero, percussionist, producer, songwriter and bandleader Little Johnny Rivero was influenced by the local conga players in the NYC parks system as a youth. He joined La Sonora Poncena in 1974 for 16 years traveling the world and recording 18 highly respected Latin albums. Currently, Little Johnny is traveling the world with the winner of eight Grammy awards, the great Eddie Palmieri. His other credits include work with Bobby Valentin, Celia Cruz, Dave Valentin, Tito Puente, Lucecita Benitez and many other artists. Featuring: Little Johnny Rivero (congas), Elio Villafranca (piano), John Benitez (bass), Diego Lopes (drums) and Ivan Renta (tenor sax).

IVO TIRADO’S LATIN JAZZ QUARTET
Ivo Tirado’s Latin Jazz Element plays the American Songbook with an Afro-Cuban beat , Brazilian and Afro Puerto Rican influences. Tirado has worked with some of the greats including Tito Puente, La Lupe, Dave Valentin, Etzel Gomez and Orlando Marin. Featuring: Ivo Tirado (timbalas), Misha Tsiganov (piano), Jennifer Vincent (bass), Tony Rodriguez (congas).

A native of Japan, Chiemi Nakai studied organ and piano as a child and became interested in jazz. From there it was steady progression from Bop to Brazilian to Salsa. Based in NYC, she continues to perform, record and tour with some of Latin music’s premier artists. GRUPO SABROSONGO features: Chiemi Nakai (piano), Hensey Perez (bass), Eddy Valentin (bongos), Emmanuel Bizeau (congas), and Chino Poun (vocalist); THE AFRO-CUBAN JAZZ PROJECT features: Chiemi Nakai (piano), Jorge Bringas (bass), Ludwig Afonso (drums), Emmanuel Bizeau (congas), Mari Koga (vocalist).

CHEMBO CORNIEL LATIN JAZZ QUINTET
Grammy-nominated percussionist Wilson “Chembo” Corniel has worked with many artists such as Chucho Valdez, Tito Puente, Machito, Celia Cruz, Grady Tate, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Hilton Ruiz, Dave Valentin Angela Bofill and many more. Latin rhythms with Jazz roots reflect Chembo’s complex technique, style, and wealth of knowledge in the folkloric, Latin and jazz idioms. He is considered as one of the best hard-hitting, versatile percussionists around. Featuring Chembo Corniel (percussion), Justin Flynn (tenor sax), Aruan Ortiz (piano), Carlo Derosa (acoustic bass), Vince Cherico (drums).

Back by popular demand – the STEVEN KROON QUARTET featuring Steven Kroon (congas & percussion), Igor Atalita (piano), Donald Nicks (bass), Diego Lopez (drums), Craig Rivers (tenor sax & flute) and Bryan Carrott (vibraphone) – The sultry Latin jazz style of master percussionist Steven Kroon has captivated audiences for over half a century. Kroon has lent his remarkable percussive skills to hundreds of recordings in the Latin jazz, pop, R&B and jazz genres as well as in concert settings around the world. Experience the Sextet’s hot and energetic Harlem Latin Jazz sound.

ZACCAI CURTIS QUARTET
Zaccai Curtis has been playing with artists such as Ralph Peterson, Bill Saxton, Will Calhoun, Christian Scott, Brian Lynch, Sean Jones, Ray Vega, Antoine Roney, Cindy Blackman and countless other prominent musicians of our time. His Quartet follows in the footsteps of Herbie Hancock, Red Garland, Noro Morales, Art Blakey Duke Ellington and Dizzy Gillespie who have all focused on percussion at one point. The Quartet’s unique rhythmic concept is what separates it from most any other quartet. Featuring Zaccai Curtis (piano), Luques Curtis (bass), Richie Barshay (drums) and Cristian Rivera (congas).
