Gospel Uptown (GU), the new premier destination for exquisite food and tantalizing entertainment in Harlem New York, will ring in 2010 with a night full of elegance and sophisticated festivities headlined by Grammy nominated singer and songwriter Lalah Hathaway. The supreme ideal adult New Year’s Eve celebration offers complimentary food from Chef Kenneth Collins, in a vibrant centralized Harlem location, and live delectable entertainment capping off a year of success for the newly launched eatery after a August 2009 opening.

Patrons of the evening will be able to experience the highly revered magic of R&B soul legend Donnie Hathaway’s daughter Lalah Hathaway’s impressive melodic jazz sound reminiscent of a more soulful era in music. Also gracing the stage will be Rasheem Patterson, whose chorus melodies haven been compared to Stevie Wonder. Rounding out the evening will be various guest performances that will be sure to help bring in2010 in style.

Not to be overshadowed by the sheer grandness of the nights performances, GU’s classically trained Chef Kenneth Collins completes the evening with his renowned cuisine that exhibits his passion for blending elements of various world cuisines including French, Indian, Asian and Italian. Chef Collins will provide an insatiable experience for your palate with various selections of his most popular dishes for the private audience to sample.

Door open at 10 PM and tickets for general admission are $100, which includes two drink tickets, passed hors d’oeuvres, and a complimentary champagne toast. VIP tickets are $150 providing table seating with plated hors d’oeuvres, two drink tickets and a complimentary champagne toast. Due to popular demand, table service is also available with groups of 10 or more receiving a complimentary bottle.

With the city’s wide array of events ushering in 2010 at an all time high, Gospel Uptown offers a sophisticated alternative to the mundane and expected for those who would like to celebrate in the vibrant and historic Harlem, NY.
