UPDATE August 27th, 2026: Venue Changes
Due to unforseen construction delays, the new Bluewhale will not be open in time for our Jazz Refractions events. Thankfully, we were able to secure two excellent venues to host the affected events:
10/10 Jon Armstrong & Bridge to everywhere – Motivo
10/11 Fay Victor’s SUNG + Lisa Mezzacappa 5(ish) – Motivo
10/16 The Forest – Sound Dhaba
10/23 Mark Dresser Gradient Quartet + Myra Melford Trio – Motivo
10/24 Harris Eisenstadt + Adam O’Farrill – Sound Dhaba

Transylvanian Dance added to Jazz Refractions
We’re excited to announce that we added a great event to our schedule thanks in part to a generous grant from the Tulipan Foundation.
Transylvanian Dance – a multimedia performance will take place on October 12th at 2220 Arts.
This event will start off with a free presentation at 7:30 where Lucian Ban and Man Maneri will talk about this multimedia project and play audio from Bartók original wax cylinder recordings from the early 20th century.
Following the presentation Lucian and Mat will perform a live set alongswide video projections of rare archival film footage. Tickets are required for the concert portion of this event. (Buy HERE)
