The Inaugural California Coast Jazz Festival – MILESTONES in San Diego, CA | August 21st-23rd, 2026

KSDS Presents the Miles Davis Centennial Celebration August 21-23 Wyndham Bayside Hotel San Diego, CA

Miles Davis didn’t just change jazz once. He changed it again and again. For the first time anywhere, this August on San Diego Bay is where his entire career gets celebrated in one place.

Three days, 16 concerts, rare films and panel discussions at the Wyndham Bayside Hotel, August 21–23.

Most tribute events pick a night, an album, a chapter. Milestones doesn’t. This is a program built from the ground up to trace the complete arc of Miles Davis’s career by some of the greatest jazz artists playing today: bebop through Birth of the Cool, the Prestige years, Kind of Blue, the Second Great Quintet, and the electric era.

And this isn’t a lineup thrown together for the occasion. Every artist was chosen for a specific role in telling this story: musicians who played the charts of Miles or absorbed them directly from the people who did. They’re not performing note-for-note recreations. They’re interpreting this music the way it was always meant to live: reimagined, in the room, in real time.

This is the kind of event that gets built once. There’s no version of this happening again, not next year, not anywhere else.

As a special thanks to our readers, we’ve extended the hotel booking deadline to August 7, giving you a few extra days to lock in your stay before rooms and the best festival seating fill up. Seats are assigned in registration order, so the earlier you book, the better your view for all three days.
