Hip-Hop Celebrity Moms Strike a Chord in the Fight Against Childhood Cancer


Inaugural Soul Celebration Gala to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – To Include Special Performance by Ne-Yo!

 

Who:               Hip-Hop celebrity moms Loraine Smith (mother of GRAMMY®-award winning artist Ne-Yo), Aliyah “Mama Pain” Najm (mother of rap artist T-Pain) and Jacida Carter (mother of rap artist Lil Wayne) will co-chair this inaugural event. Film and television actress Elise Neal and CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield will emcee the event. Additionally, Atlanta-area St. Jude patients and sisters, Jayla & Felicia and their parents will be on-hand to share their St. Jude story.

 

What:              The inaugural Soul Celebration Gala will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, one of the world’s premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other deadly childhood diseases. The evening will include a star-studded red carpet event, dinner, dancing and a live performance by artist Ne-Yo, to raise awareness and funds for St. Jude. In addition to the red carpet event, the evening will include a cocktail reception, silent auction and a celebrity meet-and-greet for sponsors and VIPs.
