The Los Angeles Jazz Festival | Aug. 7th-30th, 2026
The Inaugural Los Angeles Jazz Festival celebrates the late summer months in artistic style
Los Angeles has proudly established a historical home to the Oscars for movies, recognizing all-round stars on the Hollywood Hall of Fame and sharing time with several cities during the Grammies for achievements in various musical genres. Speaking on the enriching power of music – jazz to be precise, L.A. is about to reach for even greater artistic history as they kickoff the Inaugural Los Angeles Jazz Festival (L.A.J.F.), which will intentionally reach audiences who appreciate many flavors of jazz excellence and global backgrounds – strongly striving to become one of the memorable international places to be and see. L.A.F.J. fully emphasizes jazz beyond a performance spotlight, while celebrating the skills of global-impactful talent and educating those who attend on their historical contributions.
This 25-day extraordinary event from Aug. 7-30, 2026 offers many platforms to choose from, such as a Caribbean street festival showcasing Cuban, Brazilian, Afro-Caribbean and New Orleans inspired jazz and Jazz After Dark at various women & persons of color (P.O.C.) owned venues. Thanks to a highly driven community and cultural team who are making this possible that includes L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and L.A.F.J. Founder Martin Ludlow, this gathering points to the art of jazz as a universal language and as an opportunity to invite attendees from all corners of the world.
Stay tuned for L.A.F.J. artists to be announced in the future.
